Vinicius Tinoco – President Founder / CEO
Vinicius Tinoco aka Vina was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil and at the age of 12 started skateboarding and still loves it. Vina believes that every single child deserve a chance to learn that we all should be successful in our lives. No matter where you were born, no matter your skin color or if you are rich or poor, Vina believes that through the use of sports and leisure activities we can drastically minimize street violence, drugs use, poverty and hunger because of his own experience of being born in a very impoverished neighborhood. Vina has worked for the Foundation for the Well Being of Minors in Sao Paulo, Brazil also known as Casa Foundation, which is an institution for kids under the age of 18 who has committed a crime. He was a volunteer teaching the kids how to skate and also to apply all the attributes that they learn from skateboarding to their lives!

Andre Genovesi – Vice President
Andre was born in Sao Paulo Brazil in 1980, he started skateboarding at the age of 7 and fell in love with his board. In 1998, after many years of skating in Brazil, Andre had a chance to come to California for skateboarding. In 2004 he turned pro and has been living the “whole nine yards” since then. Andre has the vision and a proven track record to help youth at risk. In 1996 he started a similar program for the foundation for Well Being of Minors in Sao Paulo, and this program is still running very successfully after so many years, and many young people’s lives have been changed. Andre believes that if you give someone a little opportunity, it is enough to change someones entire life. Andre is the perfect candidate for public relations with his connections with people in the industry and all over the world.

Toby Pesce –  Secretary
Toby is a teacher, mentor, entrepreneur and visionary. His passion lives in encouraging youth to reach their dreams by helping them realize the power of their own potential. He inspires others through his unique combination of optimism, compassion, and desire to advocate growth. While Toby is an Orange County native, his travels have taken him across continents where he lived abroad, learning Spanish fluently and teaching English. He shares a strong entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to community service with the other board members. The Next Up mission is especially close to his heart as skateboarding was a significant influence in Toby’s own life that profoundly shaped who he is today. Toby lives in Newport Beach, enjoys surfing, camping, and family time.

Lisa Timmons – Treasure
Lisa Timmons has over 20 years experience in project management. She has worked with a wide range of clients in numerous capacities to create finished works. Her attention to detail and organizational skills will support many responsibilities within the Next Up Foundation.

Ian Ray – Director of Technology
Ian Ray is ideally suited to play a strategic role as he brings a wealth of expertise from nearly 10 years of professional IT experience which began after he started building computers at the age of 13. His solid understanding of the technology market, enthusiasm for the foundation, and complete dedication to his work has positioned him as an expert in the industry. Ian lives in Huntington Beach, is an Eagle Scout and enjoys playing drums.
